Apostle... I wonder how they got their name. This is really lovely with the muted colors and the hint of light in her eye.

their names comes from the fact that they are usually found in groups of 12 known as a 'Stuka'...like the 12 apostles!they are also co opertive breeders with only 2 birds in the group being breeders and the rest help these parents to raise the chicks by finding food and making nests. the apostle bird also has a set of fangs and is carnivourous.
