I've been away and I'm just catching up with things now. I see I've missed some beautiful shots while I was away. I love the shots of the 2 birds drinking at the water's edge and the one standing in the water. The reflections for both of those are wonderful.. The rainbow is awesome too. It does look like this guy was trying to be elusive.

That is one heck of a snap! The colouration on the bird blends in superbly with the background. Nicely captured.

What a beautiful animal, really like how he not only blends in with the background, but contrasts with it as well. I am sure there's some fancy technical name for that, but I can't think of one right now...

Just browsing some more. This shot appears to me to be less documentary and more artistic. It really is a visually inspiring image. It gets you right down to cumfy mother earth ground level amongst the grasses. The light is very nice here and the blues and oranges in the bird's feathers look lovely amongst all those yellow hues.
