The photoblog is set to auto-post today while I'm away on the 24 hour Twitchathon. This fine looking bird is a female Mulga Parrot (Psephotus varius) - again photographed while at Cocoparra National Park. Since moving to Griffith I have seen and photographed quite a few new bird species, the Mulga Parrot being one of these. Tomorrow I will post the male Mulga Parrot so again you can see the difference in plumage between the two sexes.
