While at Taronga Zoo in Sydney I saw a number of animal shows - for me the star of the day was this Black-Breasted Buzzard (Hamirostra melanosternon). During the Free Flight Bird Show this amazing bird would pick up a small rock in his beak and continue to throw it at the fake emu egg, in an attempt to break it open and receive his reward. It took quite a few attempts, but he got there in the end! EXIF: Canon EOS 30D : 1/2000 sec : f 6.3 : 400 mm : ISO 400

I love how some birds use tools to get what they need! I watched a crow once with a walnut. He would fly up to the lamp post and drop the nut to the road below. He continued this tell he broke the nut open.
