Found this Emu wandering around a farm paddock yesterday while on my drive to Kow Swamp. Emus are Australia's tallest native bird, reaching 1.6 - 1.9m when standing erect and can weigh up to 45kg. EXIF: Canon EOS 300D : 1/320 : f6.3 : 400mm : ISO 100

A good sharp shot where you have acheived fine background blur to emphasise the bird. Nice.

WOW! We don´t have such big birds in our surrounding. If you wanna see an Emu you´ve to go to the zoo and spent a mint of money for the entrance fee.

You must have so many stories to tell about the way you locate these animals and about funny incidents and difficulties while shooting. Nice job again! To me this Emu looks as determined as Darth Vader.

Very nice control of that harsh light. Lots of detail, a fine shot.

I love how you can just go for a drive and spot an emu somewhere. I gotta visit Australia and see it for myself someday.
